EHL Consulting Group partners with BNY Mellon Wealth Management to discuss ?trends and challenges?

Robert I. Evans, Founder and Managing Director of the Philadelphia fundraising consulting firm The EHL Consulting Group, will be the featured guest speaker at BNY Mellon Wealth Management?s round table discussion, ?The State of Philanthropy: Trends and Challenges,? on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the BNY Mellon Townhouse in New York City.
Welcome cocktails will begin promptly at 4 PM, and the presentation will be from 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM, followed by a Networking Cocktail Reception. The event is invitation-only.
Mr. Evans will review the recently-released results of the 2012 Giving USA Annual Report on Philanthropy for 2011. The event is designed for New York City area philanthropists and nonprofit leaders and will be hosted by Angela Smith Domzal, Senior Director for BNY Mellon Wealth Management. Ms. Smith Domzal is recognized as a thought leader in New York?s art and philanthropic communities, and serves on the Board of the Met Opera Guild as their Audit Committee Chair.
The Giving USA Annual Report, which was released on June 19 of this year, is the only historically-reliable source of data about charitable giving that estimates how much was given by four distinct types of donors, and also reports on estimated contributions for ten different types of charities.
Mr. Evans is an expert in the field of philanthropy and will offer his perspective on how these results impact current giving patterns in the United States and influence the success of contemporary fundraising campaigns. He will discuss the challenges that charitable institutions and philanthropic individuals have faced during The Great Recession, as well as the important trends going forward.
